In keeping with the experimental spirit and unconventional creative processes of the Toogood studio, the Butter Sofa takes shape from a lump of Cornish butter moulded by slippery fingers. Generously padded — soft, tactile, and comforting, just like butter — the sofa rests on large volumes reminiscent of building blocks, modular and easily reconfigurable. “There is beauty in the small things of everyday life: sometimes you don’t need to go beyond the breakfast table to discover new meaning” — Faye Toogood.

Faye Toogood
Faye Toogood is one of the most original voices in contemporary design. Growing up in the English countryside, she began her career as a stylist at The World of Interiors before founding an interdisciplinary studio in London, where she collaborates with architects, sculptors, and illustrators, including her sister Erica.
