Designed in 1958 by Masters Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Babela is a chair that follows a strict industrial aesthetic: the form, reduced to its simplest expression in a kind of lofty silence, responds only to functional requirements. Lightweight and stackable, it facilitates movement and minimises space, being flat on the sides to allow alignment without wasting space. The reissue by Tacchini brings Babela into contemporary spaces, transforming the original steel frame into a base of ash wood.
