Leise
Designed by Salem van der Swaagh
Leise is a textile work that invites slow and silent exploration, a wall hanging that blends visual and tactile sensations into a tonal and material transformation with rich and harmonious contrasts.

In German, "leise" means quiet. Inspired by the calmness that tapestries bring to indoor spaces, Salem van der Swaagh has created a wall hanging that takes shape through a meticulous manual knotting technique, defining the volume and textures of the textile piece, from the rich whites to the edges that almost seem immersed in gold. Thus, Leise becomes an invitation to slow and silent exploration, capturing a poetic balance of tactile sensations, forever between the wild and the tamed, the raw and the refined.
