Tact & Trace
The kaleidoscope creates blurs of colours and ever-evolving reflections, much like the memories that, over time, fade and blend with different perceptions. This novel parallelism is the basis of Tact & Trace mirrors and Refract vases, the collection of resin objects marking the first collaboration between Tacchini and the studio Objects of Common Interest. To evoke this effect, both the material and the shapes become essential: the coloured and semi-transparent resin creates dynamic plays of shades and shadows, while the prismatic shapes lend a timeless, gentle note to the mirrors and vases. Thus, each creation becomes a tactile reflection on the beauty of memory, fragile and fleeting like the colours and figures that transform following the movements of a kaleidoscope. The Tact & Trace mirrors emerge from the memory of Eleni Petaloti — co-founder, along with Leonidas Trampoukis, of the studio — who, recalling a crystal piece once owned by her grandparents, began experimenting with prismatic shapes. The essence of crystal is thus reinterpreted into contemporary mirrors that reflect the light, shape, and emotions that have always moved her. Building upon this approach with different scales and perspectives, the Refract vases are also born. These coloured vases are made with particular attention to sustainability by reusing the resin from the mirror production process.

Objects of Common Interest
Founded by Eleni Petaloti and Leonidas Trampoukis, Objects of Common Interest engages at the intersection of art, design, and architecture. The studio explores a diverse range of scales, from sculptural objects and installations to immersive environments and public art projects. Based between New York and Athens, Eleni and Leonidas are also the founding partners of the sibling architectural practice, LOT Office for Architecture. Their work has been exhibited internationally at major art and design institutions, and galleries, including solo shows at the Noguchi Museum, Design Museum Brussels, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, Cycladic Museum Athens, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Québec, Vitra Design Museum, Nilufar Gallery Milan, and Etage Projects Copenhagen. Objects of Common Interest was formed with a focus on creating still life installations, experiential environments, and sculptural objects—anchored by a deep fascination with materiality, conceptual exploration, and tangible spatial experiences. Their work bridges the contrasting influences of Greece and New York, blending cultural narratives into unified forms. Eleni and Leonidas are currently appointed Adjunct Professors of Architecture at Columbia University’s masters program in Advanced Architectural Design in New York.
