Tacchini isn’t just culture, it’s also glamour. Creating atmosphere and beauty for people to enjoy is part of its savoir-faire. It’s an exciting mission that requires untiring creativity and a pinch of healthy madness; but when you’re onto the right idea, it’s a pleasure and real fun to develop it.
Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, the renowned interior and product designer twosome from Studiopepe in Milan, tell us about the new Pastilles collection, which they designed exclusively for Tacchini Italia Forniture. It was presented during a one-off event at the historic Bar Basso in Milan, and offered a glimpse into Milanese lifestyle and a nostalgic play on style. The historic Cocktail Bar, an unusual location with a high design content and the first American Bar in the city, in 1947 took the aperitif outside of luxury hotel lounges, and spread the metropolitan custom, creating a huge success which has continued to this day. It’s an essential address for all professionals and enthusiasts attending the Salone during the Milan Furniture Fair week, who between a Negroni sbagliato and a Rossini, which were invented here, have always met up to compare ideas and share stories and friendships. The sophisticated collection of Pastilles lounge chairs, poufs and coffee tables from Studiopepe, inspired by the glamour of ‘70s clubs and dressed for the event in a palette of mid-tones and precious surfaces featuring the rich patterns of the Dedar fabrics chosen for the occasion, creates a setting with a refined ’70s atmosphere. Lounge chairs, poufs and coffee tables in smooth, rounded shapes welcome guests, providing a scenic demonstration of Tacchini’s response to the requirements demanded by the new concept of contemporary, global hospitality. In particular, selected hotels all over the world are now seeking to offer relaxation and comfort by creating a pleasant, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere where guests can feel at home wherever they are.
